Following an overall positive response, Asus has delivered two new Eee PC Seashell models, the 1101HA and 1005HA. Placing an emphasis on energy-efficiency, the pair boast battery lives of up to 11 and 10.5 hours. Each employs a 92% keyboard with full-sized shift keys, Eee docking software and 10GB of online storage.

Their specs are nearly identical, with the greatest difference showing in display size. The 1101HA features an 11.6" (1366x768) LED-backlit display with an Intel Atom Z520, whereas the 1005HA has a 10.1" (1024x600) panel with an Atom N270/N280. Other minor variations include the availability of Linux on the 1005HA as well as an optional .3 megapixel webcam and 3-cell battery.

Windows XP is available on both, and each houses 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 160GB HDD, 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, VGA-out, three USB 2.0 ports, headphone/mic jacks, a card reader and a 6-cell battery options (63 or 48W/h). There was no talk of money in the press release, but it looks like the 1101HA's asking price is about $550 and the 1005HA's about $350.
