Update: In addition to the Modern Warfare 2 version, GameSpot is reporting that Microsoft will launch an identical Forza Motorsport 3 bundle in Europe for 249.99 GBP. There is also evidence that Redmond will ship a European Halo 3: ODST kit, which contains a 120GB Elite console, a controller, copies of Halo 3: ODST and Halo 3, and access to Halo: Reach's beta program.

Original: Microsoft showed a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 themed Xbox 360 at an event in Los Angeles yesterday. Priced at $400, the limited edition console shares similarities with the Xbox 360 Elite – except it bears the markings of Infinity Ward's upcoming FPS. While it may seem overpriced at first, some bundled goodies sweeten the deal.

For starters, it ships with a 250GB hard drive – a substantial upgrade to the Elite's 120GB drive. Microsoft also throws in two wireless controllers and a copy of Modern Warfare 2. Ars Technica points out that the Elite's hard drive runs about $1.25/GB – at Redmond's overpriced storage rates, the extra 130GB alone is worth the premium.

You can pre-order the special edition console on Amazon for $399.99, and it ships free via "Super Saver" shipping on November 10.
