Overall we are impressed with the Carbide Air 240, it offers a lot of space for such a small form factor, it has great features for the smallest form factor it looks lovely and was designed ina very intelligent way, making this an easy to use and install chassis. There is a wide varyity of colors available for this chassis, other then that, nice job Corsair.

I like the Corsair Carbide Air 240 and applaud its novel design. The dual chamber layout separates the hot processor and graphics card from the power supply and drives, and that makes the cooling path as straight as an arrow. On the other hand the form factor means you are limited to either a Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX motherboard.

Corsair has steered clear of the tiny cube chassis, while other companies like BitFenix, Xigmatek, or Aerocool have been duking it out, trying to get the attention of gamers who want a compact chassis with the ability to hold potent hardware. Well, the Carbide Air 240 is about to step into the ring and manages to impress.

Corsair has taken all the great features and phenomenal performance of its extremely popular AIR 540, made improvements where needed and shrunk it all down into the chassis you see here.

Overall, though, I think the Air 240 is a solid choice for Mini-ITX and microATX builders alike. It's easy to build in, it's got plenty of room for enthusiast-grade hardware, and it has the vent area to keep hot parts cool. At $90, this case is pretty affordable, as well.

By Bit-Tech on August 15, 2014 85

Considering the case is roughly the same size as a BitFenix Prodigy, Corsair has done very well indeed to make it so water-cooling friendly and to offer so much expansion, especially given its dual chamber design. The thermals aren't spectacular, but they're far from bad and if you're not looking to cram a custom water-cooling system inside, then an all-in-one liquid cooler is definitely the way to go.

Simply put, it is not a product meant for the average Joe to stick beneath an office desk and forget about it. Instead, this is a case meant to show off your powerful and yet compact gaming system, with an eye-catching cubic design. If that's what you're looking for, the Carbide Air 240 is definitely worthy of consideration. Pricing is reasonable as well, with both the white and the black models listed at Amazon and priced at $90 – $40 less than the larger Carbide Air 540.
