Roccat Syn Pro Air

Not settling until all your PC peripherals are weightless, Roccat has slimmed down the Syn Pro Air to within an inch of its life, but this unfortunately makes it a bit of a flight risk. If you get past this, however, you're left with a wireless gaming headset that sounds as sharp as it looks.

The Roccat Syn Pro Air impresses in most of the areas that matter, not least sound quality and comfort. It'll only work fully with Windows, and the software is still a work in progress, but if you need an affordable wireless gaming headset then this might well fit the bill.

The Roccat Syn Air Pro is a great sounding headset that's held down by a surprising amount of technical issues.

The ROCCAT Syn Pro Air are decent for wireless gaming. Their detachable boom mic has an unremarkable recording quality, but it does a good job of separating your voice from ambient sound. The headphones have a comfortable, decently breathable fit and a long continuous battery life. Using their wireless USB dongle, they have full compatibility with PCs as well as PS4 and PS5 consoles. There's also an adaptor you can use for full compatibility with Android phones and tablets with USB-C input. Their latency with PCs is a bit high but shouldn't be too noticeable for most. They have very low latency with Android phones. However, non-Bluetooth latency can vary with real-life usage, so you may have a different experience.

For many, RGB lighting may be the main selling point to the Roccat Syn Pro Air gaming headset. But during testing we found it’s the impressive battery life, spectacular audio and solid companion software that really make this headset worth your hard-earned cash. And if you’re looking a PC and PlayStation gamer looking for a headset that can also pump out your favourite tunes, there are few better choices.
