The Dell XPS 15 has been a favorite of ours for some time now, but the new 9570 model provides such a great combination of performance, portability and price. For $1,700 or so, you get a six-core Intel Core i7-8750H CPU, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, a 15.6-inch 1080p display with super slim bezels, and a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti discrete GPU, plus a huge 97 Wh battery and Thunderbolt 3 connectivity.
Our editors hand-pick these products using a variety of criteria: they might be direct competitors targeting the same market segment, or they could be devices that are similar in size, performance, or feature sets.
If you are willing to invest Rs 2.2 lakhs in a laptop, you expect to have little to no compromises on most fronts, whether it be the display, battery life or performance. The XPS 15 manages to keep the compromises to a bare minimum like its predecessors...
During my 10-day stint with Dell's XPS 15 9570, I loved using the laptop so much that it's tough sending it back. Yet, the laptop isn't for meant for everyone. If you're looking for a machine for casual purposes, then the XPS 15 is surely overkill. On...
In 2018, Dell added the hexa-core Intel Core i9 processor to the XPS 15 to take things to a whole new level. This variant with a stunning 4K screen, 32 gigs of DDR4 RAM and Nvidia GTX 1050Ti graphics is overkill in the name of a computer. Is this the...
The Dell XPS 15 is essentially a wolf disguised as a sheep. It comes kitted with all the top end components. The performance of the laptop is in the very top rung of non-gaming laptops and even in comparison to some gaming machines, the XPS 15 can hold...
I've always loved Dell's XPS 15 lineup, as I'm always willing to sacrifice battery life for more power. I'm never that far from a power outlet anyway. If that sounds like you, then the XPS 15 is your dream machine. The biggest downside is that you're not...
Too much power? After checking out the Core i5 and Core i7 SKUs, we're now finally ready to benchmark the Core i9 version of the XPS 15 9570. In short, users are better off investing in more storage, RAM, or faster graphics than to plop down an...
The Dell XPS 15’s premium design, outstanding display, and unrivalled performance renders the ‘best ever Windows laptop’ even better - with high value-for-money - despite a handful of bugbears that remain unaddressed.
Sure, the latest XPS 15 starts at $999, but the one you probably want will fall in the $2,000 range. Our opinion is that the hexa-core processor, speedy memory, 4K touchscreen, capacious and speedy SSD, and gaming-ready GeForce graphics are all worth it to match the capabilities that the premium chassis exudes. Dell keeps the quality and the performance going in the XPS 15 line with the new 9570 model, making it easy to recommend and worthy of our Editor's Choice award once again as well. The new Dell XPS 15 is simply one of, if not the best, premium 15-inch laptops on the market.
Despite some lingering issues and many similarities to the previous generation, the XPS 15 9570 surprises with its performance, making enough of a difference to be a worthy upgrade. We hope Dell puts more resources into squashing the XPS 15's remaining issues and giving the design a more complete refresh for the next iteration.
The Dell XPS 15 9570 has some shortcomings. Storage is the most obvious. The XPS 15 is designed around the option of a hard drive for budget buyers or an M.2. If you opt for the SSD (which we highly recommend), you generally get the larger 97-watt-hour...
