Ultra-fast response times, super-fast refresh rates, a great panel size, good black levels, it’s all here. You’ll struggle to find anything better than this for the same price. Sure, give me another £100, and I’ll blow this out of the water, but for an entry-level pro-gaming monitor, it’s hardly spartan on features. FreeSync, great connectivity, built-in speakers, a USB hub, an adjustable stand.

The AOC 27G2 is a very capable 144Hz 1080p gaming monitor that provides excellent responsiveness and vibrancy. These two characteristics make it a viable replacement for TN-based models which are generally faster in pixel transitions but are usually handicapped when it comes to color quality. It’s also great that its considerably more affordable than its competitors despite not having limitations such as a tilt-only stand.

Despite a few flaws, the AOC 27G2U is a great monitor for an affordable price. Recommended for anyone who wants a fast, smooth gaming experience on a budget.

The build quality is great and the bezels are really small. Overall these are both great monitors for gamers or editors and they’re pretty cheap as well.
