The KD25F is an excellent 240Hz monitor thanks to its panel alone. The addition of the "Tactical" features make it exemplary as an eSports monitor. It has the strengths of a TN panel which is speed shown by its response time and refresh rate without the drawbacks of a typical TN monitor. The Aorus tactical gaming monitor formula is a market disruptor not only in the 1440p segment but also in the 240Hz eSports line as seen with the Aorus KD25F. We expect the Aorus Tactical monitor line to grow and offer a little-to-no compromise solution in the remaining monitor market segments such as 4K and Ultrawide.

The Gigabyte Aorus KD25F Tactical Gaming Monitor is designed for professionals and delivers what they need but average gamers are better suited investing in a higher resolution 144Hz monitor. I love its gaming features, software-based OSD, and that it’s designed to one-up the competition. If you’re in its target audience, it’s a fantastic choice.

Overall with response times and color reproduction contrast the KD25F seems to performs very well to very good in all these areas, but not perfect (which really not one monitor is). Rounding things up, the monitor is super fast, well equipped and offers deep proper features.

The Aorus KD25F is a fantastic new addition to the 240Hz line up we have in the market, but it does have a few quirks. The slight deviances in color quality and uniformity will irk the perfectionists, but those who want a no-holds-barred display for competitive gaming will love this product. The design’s suitability for various tastes remains subjective, but its one of the better implementations when it comes to the aggressively designed variants.
