Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell is Saints Row IV Lite. It doesn’t do enough new to be a must-buy, but for anyone looking for a quick, easy way to get into this devil-may-care sandbox series, it’s still a solid act. Hell yeah.
A Saints Row game with no ambition, no plot, no variety, and no way of raising the bar. Solid and good for a chuckle or two, but ultimately an empty...
With THQ gone the originally planned DLC was altered to form what I thought was a slightly disappointing Saints Row IV. Although it offered the usual ridiculous Saints thrills and spills with a creatively ridiculous plot and setting. Personally I didn't...
Developer: Volition Publisher: Deep Silver Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, X360 Version Reviewed: PC When the Boss of the Saints is kidnapped by Satan and forced into a shotgun wedding with his demonic daughter Jezebel, Johnny Gat forms a rescue...
It's an expansion that leaves a lot to be desired, only because there’s enough fertile ground to support a full blown game. It's the kind of expansion that gets you imagining what else this world and these characters are capable of, which is the best kind of disappointment you can have.
There are some really pleasant components in Gat Out of Hell, but they never gel into something cohesive and worthwhile. Volition has built a franchise by thumbing its nose at everything from the gaming industry to political correctness. But this is the first time it feels like the joke is on us.
Where Saints Row IV earned a promotion from expansion to sequel through an explosion of fun and interesting ideas, Gat Out of Hell feels more like leftovers than a brand new experience. The action can be entertaining and the fun infectious, but there's...
Saints Row IV is just as much silly, largely challenge-free fun in Re-Elected as it was originally, even if it doesn't look as impressive as other recent remasters. Gat out of Hell’s short but fun demonic adventure doesn’t really justify re-buying the whole thing, but the Re-Elected package is the best way to experience Saints Row IV’s power trip for the first time.

Gat Out of Hell comes up short in mission variety, but concludes in a tantalizing way: with five different endings. Could one of them point to the future of the series? Time will tell, but if this is indeed the last hurrah for this continuity of the 3rd Street Saints, it’s been a hell of a ride, Volition.
The premise is typically fine Saints Row insanity, with the President/Boss/Emperor/Etc. falling afoul of a ouija board that sucks them into Hell, where Satan plans to marry them off to his daughter Jezebel. Walking apocalypse Johnny Gat and team hacker...
I really love Saints Row. I love what it has become, and I love the continued path it keeps going down. When the first entry came out all those years ago I felt the same as everyone else, but since Saints Row: The Third hit the series has accepted the...
Should we go to Hell to rescue the Boss of the Saints, or leave the devil his due? I believe it is worth jumping in, but only if you are already a fan of the franchise. If you are (and I admit that I am) you will find a fun experience that still does a...
