I also liked that the antenna were locked into place rather than each one having to be positioned.
If you need to extended your existing wifi around your house, we highly recommend the TP-Link RE450 extender.
If placed in the right position, RE450 Range Extender from TP-LINK can help you cover dead Wi-Fi spots inside your office or apartment by retransmitting the received signal via wired connection but can also create additional networks so the laptop/desktop/smartphone or other devices you are using will get full signal. The product is easy to relocate because it also includes the power adapter so we only have to plug it in and adjust the antennas in a position of our choice. RE450 also supports the latest 1300Mbps AC standard on the 5GHz band so we have obtained much better results in the tests compared to the previous generations.
I have a hard time finding fault with the TP-LINK RE450 AC1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender. Physically, the one improvement I can see is the opportunity to add a pass-through power outlet. That said, the devices I have tried with a pass-through outlet covered up the second outlet on the wall plate, which delivers the same result overall. But from a usability and performance point of view, the RE450 is easy to get on with and performs well.
Yet this AC1750 extender is a reliable piece of hardware. With the test results, accessible software and ease this price in my opinion, not too high. I normally would pull my doubts, the RE450's just a very thorough and comprehensive extender. For this just what luxury segment you pay a little extra. Yet the minuses above are something to be reckoned with. To be honest, this was just a little may be better developed.
Overall, we’re really happy and quite impressed with both the RE355 and RE450. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking to boost a spotty or poor-coverage WiFi network.
The TP-LINK RE450 AC1750 range extender stands out through its size, aspect, specifications and price. It’s a rather expensive range extender that promises to deliver good coverage and fast wireless transfers. Unfortunately it’s performance is a bit uneven. In some areas of your home or office, you might get very good coverage from this range extender, while in others it will be disappointing. Other range extenders, including the more affordable TP-LINK RE210, are able to deliver more consistent results, even though they won’t be as fast as TP-LINK RE450 AC1750.
