The Galaxy A5 is Samsung's latest fully-metal body and sports popular Galaxy features such as Ultra-Power Saving Mode, Private Mode, Multiscreen, and more. Aimed at "young consumers seeking practicality and functionality", the A5 packs a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, runs Android KitKat (4.4), includes support for 4G networks, and comes with a five-megapixel front-facing camera and 16GB internal memory - expandable up to 64GB via micro SD slot.
As good as the Galaxy A5 is, it’s hard to look past the superb LG G2 for just $350, or the Nexus 5. The Sony Xperia Z2 retails these days for the same $390 price tag as the Galaxy A5, and like the aforementioned devices, it’s more powerful, has a better display and (in some cases) longer battery life.

The Galaxy A5 has taken on the beautiful build quality that we first saw in the Galaxy Alpha and brought it to a very affordable price point. There are a few hits and misses- the camera could have been better, we would have loved to have Lollipop as...
When put next to the Galaxy S5, it's hard to find reasons to buy the A5 instead. It's not a bad phone, but the S5 is simply better value now that it has dropped in price.
Samsung sure manages to surprise us every so often, and while we've loved seeing what its engineers can do in regards to a flagship product, it's this year's mid-range marvel that is impressing us greatly, taking technology from the past year, a design...
The Samsung Galaxy A5 is part of the South Korean handset maker's full-metal step forward, delivering a slick handset in a firm chassis that doesn't feel flimsy. For £349, the Galaxy A5 is a 5.2-inch mid-range blower that measures up at just 6.9mm. Is it...

As a nod to where Samsung is heading with design, the Galaxy A5 is a great example of quality. Indeed, we'd rather have one in the pocket than the flagship Galaxy S5 - but that's just about to be replaced with the S6 come April, which fuses the...
For around a £100 more than the A3, the Galaxy A5 has a bigger, better quality screen a superior camera, and the processor has been beefed up a little to cope with the greater demands placed on it. It's a sleek-looking device and a pretty good performer...
8.5 As expected the Samsung Galaxy A5 does not disappoint and is a great mid-range offering from the company. While it looks the same as the last few generations, the change in the build material from plastic to metal finally allows for the premium feel...
