While manufacturers have announced larger capacity SSDs (2TB and more), for storing a lot of files, a mechanical HDD is still a much more affordable option. This looks set to change in the future though, as SSD production volume increases lead to lower...

Aside from ho-hum sequential-write speeds at the 256GB capacity, the Force LX is a solid-performing SSD at a reasonable price. Read...

The 512GB LX excelled in our benchmarks, writing large files at a blistering 573.8MB/s and reading them at an equally impressive 480MB/s. We did manage to exceed 600MB/s when writing large files, but we only managed this feat once. We wouldn’t expect...

Overall we are pretty impressed with what the Corsair Force LX 512 GB Solid State Drive has to offer. In terms of the physical drive itself, it is very similar to other models we have seen in the past. It feels well put together and the 7 mm form factor...

Corsair normally do something out of the ordinary when they produce products; whether that be by design, performance or of course value, but is there a happy medium between all three?  I have had the Force LX 256GB drive in my test system for a while now...

The last few weeks were very exciting for Solid State Drives. The arrival of PCIe and M.2 that can give speeds up to 10Gb/s shows the direction that consumer drives will be moving forward. Setting aside all this, we need to see what is currently...

The Corsair Force LX solid state drive and the new Silicon Motion controller perform exactly how they should for an entry-level SSD. It would have been nice to have had a few goodies thrown in as well, but it's hard to go wrong with a price point this...

So at the end of the day where are does the Corsair Force LX stand? Well as I mentioned when we started, this is a price point drive from the beginning. Corsair kept things cheap on the casing and the controller to help this be an entry level SSD. Even...

Samsung's 850 Pro SSDs are without a doubt the fastest SSDs of this moment. Given that this product does not seem to have any flaws, we heartily recommend it to those who are looking for the fastest possible SSD. The Vector 150 and AMD Radeon R7 SSDs...

Knowing that the Corsair Force LX was an SSD designed for the budget conscious we weren't expecting blistering performance but truth be told for the price, we were pleasantly surprised. Not only did the Force LX beat some of the more expensive drives...

Corsair is known to provide us with a wide spectrum of Solid State Drives and we have already tested many of them in the past. Now the time has come for their newest entry level and budget drive in the Force family; the Corsair Force LX 256GB Solid State...

The Corsair Force LX is a solid performer thanks to its Micron 20nm synchronous flash and Silicon Motion controller. We were happy to see this performance available in costs/GB lower than competing units. While more limited on write speeds, the smaller...

Alright then, the tests are over and it is time to draw up the conclusions; not a long time ago we have reviewed an affordable SSD from KingFast, (F8) which was bringing to the table decent performances while keeping the sell price to very low levels....
