Synthetic Performance


The 3Dmark Vantage results are nearly identical when comparing the Asus Maximus II Formula and the P5Q Deluxe. While these LGA775 boards using the Core 2 Quad Q9450 match the AM2+ motherboards, which are using the Phenom X4 9850 processor, in the GPU test, the Q9450 is much faster in the CPU test.


This next lot of PCmark Vantage results looks at the overall scores of the gaming and music tests. As you can see, while the two P45 boards produced similar gaming scores, the Maximus II Formula was much slower than the P5Q Deluxe when running the music test.


CINEBENCH R10 also favours the Asus P5Q Deluxe over the Maximus II Formula, giving it a slight performance advantage in both the CPU and OpenGL rendering tests.
