Hello,
I am running one laptop and a desktop with Windows as OS, there are other pcs as well. I have one PLANET wireless+4-port Ethernet router which I use to connect to the internet. it's been few days that I am unable to access internet. web pages wont open. the interesting fact is that though I can't access internet, I am on my home network, I can access other pc,,have success ping tests. when I checked my connectivity icon on the notification area I got like this........
there's no value on the received portion as on sent.

(please refer the attached image below)

please rescue.....

If the browser is able to access the local network, then check settings for the firewall and/or browser.

lets see if TCP is ok first -- get a command prompt (run cmd)
First clean up TCP;
netsh winsock reset catalog

netsh int ip reset reset.log

netsh winsock reset

ipconfig /flushdns

net stop "dns client"
net start "dns client"

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
now determine what the TCP settings are
ipconfig /all

try to access using an address
ping 24.28.193.9
now see if DNS will find a website
nslookup www.google.com

if ALL this works without 'timeouts' or 'unreachable host', then try the browser again.
