As you can see in the video below, the table requires you to start a specific app on your iPhone (likely available through jailbreak) and plug in the cable. It appears that the power button needs to be held down when launching the required app. Wi-Fi is currently not supported. The two men in the video seem to access the Springboard, swipe between pages, and launch the Photos app without much trouble. The bigger UI elements seem to scale just fine. The Table Connect is still in development, so we’ll keep you up to date with the project.
The Table Connect firmware is apparently currently in alpha. "Please understand however that we will not talk about technological details at this point in time, due to competitive reasons," the company said in a statement. If you're convinced that this is a fake, explain why you think the device isn't real. Otherwise, answer the question in the headline!
I would play some air hockey, pinball and maybe some virtual pool if it is possible with my friends. I would definitely not work on that because my arms would hurt me to much at the end of the day.
pr0n O_O
i wonder how much this thing would go for. Also is it really worth it?
this would be truly epic for tabletop RPGs. all the benefits of a projector table, with touch support. I can't wait to see where this goes.
thats a nice phone :-)
Forget it. This is just some toy, just some bigger screen for your iphone. Don't think this would add anything new other than what you can already do with your iphone.
This is really absurd. what is the use of such a big phone.
This is both absurd and interesting at the same time. The game play would be awesome to see, but giving iphone and even bigger head, I don't know if that is truly necessary.
They do have other types of projectors that will produce large screen. The aaxa tech m2 micro projector can product up 100". The validity of that is still to be proven..
