Nvidia's Kepler architecture debuted a year ago with the GeForce GTX 680, which has sat somewhat comfortably as the market's top single-GPU graphics card, forcing AMD to reduce prices and launch a special HD 7970 GHz Edition card to help close the value gap. Nonetheless, we all knew the GK110 existed and we were eager to see how Nvidia brought it to the consumer market -- assuming it even decided to. Fortunately, that wait is now over.
After wearing the single-GPU performance crown for 12 months, the GTX 680 has been dethroned by the new GeForce GTX Titan. Announced on February 21, the Titan carries a GK110 GPU with a transistor count that has more than doubled from the GTX 680's 3.5 billion to a staggering 7.1 billion. The part has roughly 25% to 50% more resources at its disposal than Nvidia's previous flagship, including 2688 stream processors (up 75%), 224 texture units (also up 75%) and 48 raster operations (a healthy 50% boost).
In case you're curious, it's worth noting that there's "only" estimated to be a 25% to 50% performance gain because the Titan is clocked lower than the GTX 680. Given those expectations, it would be fair to assume that the Titan would be priced at roughly a 50% premium, which would be about $700. But there's nothing fair about the Titan's pricing -- and there doesn't have to be. Nvidia is marketing the card as a hyper-fast solution for extreme gamers with deep pockets, setting the MSRP at a whopping $1,000.
Why should I be?
Look at this think a little:

There's nearly $1000 worth of hardware in just that pic.
And no, with that kind of cooling and THAT card, there is no ******* way in hell you're going to have any issues.
You don't understand card design or know what a Volterra Digital PWM is.
That card shits over a Titan when it comes down to the actual card quality. It can reach clocks Titan can only dream of when you put it under LN2.
suckin,cheating and mugging:hail titan
Actually, ARES is no better than Titan. It's no more than a pair of off the shelf 7970 DirectCU's coupled together to get rid of Asus' excessive 7970 Ghz stock, which doesn't sell well due to it's inefficiency, AMD cards' frame latency and some other driver issues...
670 DirectCU SLi is the way to go over a Titan if you ask me.
Well actually, if you ask ME, I can come up with so many combinations that shit over a Titan. A pair of these would shit ALL over a titan:
[link]
If only that hadn't flew out of stock already... lol.
Actually a 7950 much better bet than 670....better peformance with lower price tag
and recent other games tested as follows in below link
[link]
I know, but when you go dual with 7950 your frame latency is going to be reduced.
If 7950, go with a pair of these I say:
[link]
So what do we get here? $600 and superior performance over a Titan while just losing frame latency in some games.
If you want something even better, then go with a pair of these:

$400 each and you still shit all over Titan...
Yes that would be even better ![]()
Even though the review includes SLi GTX 660Ti's/CrossfireX 7950's, clearly shows/explains the difference and gives you enough to go on, there is a part of me that still wants to see CrossfireX 7970's/SLi GTX 670/680 results as well at 1600p and maybe some triple monitor resolution's. Heck throw SLi GTX Titans in there to make it fair.
And don't be afraid to use the 4GB 670/680, although its been proven past 2GB isn't needed until after 1600 (for the most part).
Dividebyzero said he would fund everything. :p
If there was anyone to really buy this card, I'd be the first one.

That's a $530 board right there with a $200 water cooler on it... that should tell you something.

That is an impressive keyboard and mouse.
Got the black version of it as well. The white one is actually more slippery since it lacks the rubber of the black one. The black one slaps much easier on your palm but the rubber on the sides don't anywhere feel as nice as the coating of the white one.
Forget about the mice and the keyboard, go with what's laying in the bottom. It was shipped from Greece and cost me... I can't remember. It cost somewhere between $570-600 after the shipping and customs duty charges.
It's completely rugged and SLC and SandForce. Does 550/500 like a piece of cake. Can withstand 0-70 Degrees Celcius working, and -50 to 150 degrees when not working. There're two layers of PCB inside the drive and it's shroud. It's bolted twice and it does NOT open. It can take a buckshot and data may not get affected...
You know, I can actually come up with A LOT of those kind of pics of you want.
I just need to take my cam in my hand and start creating portraits out of a room full of hardware and expensive shit... I got at least 15-20 grand worth of hardware laying in here.
Not that I LIKE to show off, just trying to point out how easy it would be for me to afford a Titan.
I think we are all good thanks.
Well, at least your data will survive in the event of extreme nerd rage. I'd suggest maybe taking steps to ensure that you do also - by inlaying a brigandine with these obviously superlative shot-proof drives, you can ensure that both you and your extensive collection of hardware pictures will survive. (Hint: leave price stickers attached for maximum effect in assaults of the large bore variety)
LOL... it actually backs up an enterprise SLC RAID array... it's there for the worst possible case. In case EVERY shit goes down and I lose ALL my SLC drives... it's there to back them ALL up... LOL.
It went in my Precision M6400 which has a heavily overclocked QX9300 and an extremely overclocked Quadro card in it... there's quite bit of heat in that notebook and I ALWAYS throw it around so there's a bit of sense as to why I own it. ![]()
As a side note, some guy that reviews SSD's (not going to name him) was offering me to review HALF the SSD's that get to him.
I told him that my financial situation is beyond having to need review hardware and that I'd never accept cheap money and that he should totally completely just **** off.

I'm glad to hear its not just us that hears about your financial situation and that you were so nice to this anonymous person. Moving forward could you please stop double posting and if possible try to keep things on topic. If you want to show off your hardware by all means do so, just start your own thread in an appropriate section.
Yeah, sorry. I know.
Apologies.
I can tell more about that guy and the reason why I told him to kiss off... but that's way beyond this topic so I'm not going to get into that. ![]()
I'm not belittling anyone. I was told that I was jealous to own a Titan and that I should buy one or whatever, which is why I explained these things.
Okay - let's move on now. Titan too rich for my blood... I didn't save up enough for three of them like I was planning... angry at them like I was at ATI for 7970 pricing.
I'm a bit late to the party to say it, but: cool story bro.
You actually really need to see the mails that're going to Kyle Bennett from me.
I attacked the site a few times and left him sleepless for a few days.
There's one man that owns all though... he's called 'JonnyGuru'. ![]()
Alright, sorry folks. Got cought up really a bit too much. Done with this dog shit.
I attacked the site a few times and left him sleepless for a few days.
No offense but I am almost certain you are nobody to Kyle Bennett so I have no idea how you could be keeping him up at night. Your best chance at that would be to get a drum kit and head to his neighborhood, but that is also your best chance of going missing LOL ![]()
Why don't you go ask him yourself?
You know that NewZon block? Do you know who just took it away today?
Me. I send him a mail to take it off and he did.
Steve ,
when will Tomb Raider bench be out
the game is among top 5 rated game of all time
please bench TR(y)
when will Tomb Raider bench be out
If I'm using ultrawide display 29inch at 21:9 ratio with highest setting, does a single Titan would be enough?
