The Phenom II X4 955 was merely faster than its predecessor in the Excel test. The Core 2 Quad Q9650 completed the test in almost half the time that it took the Phenom II X4 955, while the Core i7 processors were even faster.

The standings remain about the same in the Excel “Monte Carlo” test, though this time the Phenom II X4 processors are considerably faster than the Phenom X4 9950.
