The Phenom II X4 series has never performed particularly well in the Super PI benchmark. Though the Phenom II X4 965 reduced the calculation time by 5.5% when compared to the 955, this still placed the Phenom II X4 965 well behind the Core 2 Quad Q9650 in this test.
