Benchmarks: Atto Disk Benchmark

The 840 Pro maxed out at 551MB/s when working with 128K data in Atto Disk Benchmark, 5MB/s faster than the 830, 49MB/s faster than the Intel SSD 520 Series and 52MB/s faster than the Vertex 4.

However, where the 840 Pro really improved was with smaller data samples, as it beat the 830 drive by 33% in the 1K test and that gap remained wide until the file sizes reached 32K.

When using Atto Disk Benchmark to measure write performance, the 840 Pro maxed out at 529MB/s, 28% higher than the 830's 414MB/s showing and again, Samsung's new arrival was also much faster than its older drive when testing with smaller data.
