You might remember Tomb Raider previous games for itīs excellent adventure/puzzle combination of gameplay or maybe itīs just that you canīt forget the beautiful Lara..... and who can !
As everybody knows Lara adventures are full packed of puzzles and enemies in a different set of levels and locations, all from a 3rd person perspective, but has this nice experience been improved?
One of the best things Eidos could ever do for the new incarnation of Tomb Raider was to give the development of the game to a different group of developers and designers which were full of fresh new ideas for the Tomb Raider series of games, we might notice how totally new hot features have been added in Tomb Raider III specially in level design where new ideas are always needed and thatīs double for Tomb Raider kind of games anyway donīt expect
a huge change, the levels are, like always filled with spike traps, big jumps and doors opened from somewhere in the level so that youīve look all around to finally understand which is the way to go.
But what are the most important changes involved in the third version of Tomb Raider?
First of all, Tomb Raider III is now using a completely new and improved engine which allowed developers to do much better things with the game, things havenīt changed drastically, though.
Another of the changes Iīm sure gamers will love is the non-linear gameplay, levels arenīt required to be followed in a default order, I mean, youīll start in a specific region, the India Jungles, and then youīll be able to jump to the locale you prefer and after completing all of them youīll be ready to rock in the last locale, in the glacial reaches of Antarctica where game finishes. The game contains five different locales with three levels
for each one of them.
