Command & Conquer: Renegade tweak guide

Control Setup

Load Renegade & click on Options, the Controls. Adjust the options in the Movement, Attack, Weapon & Communications tabs as you see fit. Now select the Look/Mouse tab.

Look Assignments. Adjust the Keyboard control bindings here yourself as you see fit.

Invert Mouse Look. Tick this setting to invert the Y-axis of your Mouse. This means pulling back (towards you) on the mouse will result in looking up & vice versa.

Invert Vehicle Targeting. Tick this setting to invert the Y-axis of your Mouse when aiming Vehicle mounted weaponry. This means pulling back (towards you) on the Mouse will result in aiming up & vice versa.

Lock Vehicle Camera To Turret. Set this to your own preference.

Vehicle Steering. Set this to your own preference using the drop-down menu.

Mouse Sensitivity. Moving this slider to the Right can improve mouse responsiveness along the X & Y-axis (Horizontal & vertical) although may make more accurate movement awkward due to the extra responsiveness. I’d recommend leaving this set to the default position unless you find your Mouse fairly slow reacting to your input.

Use the Save/Load option to save your Control preferences for the Game.

If you are using a Mouse (Which you should be) you can find out how to further tweak that device in our Mouse Tweak guide.

Conclusion

Your C&C: Renegade gaming experience should now be greatly improved with better visuals, audio & hopefully minimal performance loss. This guide may be updated whenever new patches become available. If you have any Questions/Comments/Suggestions about this Guide be sure to check out our Gaming Forum, or Email me.
