Miscellaneous Options
Open the Options menu, select the Miscellaneous tab. In this tab you will find settings to tweak your input device preferences & a few game settings.
Double Click Speed. This slider sets how quickly you must double-click your mouse to open a folder (or other duty assigned to double-clicking). Slide the bar to the Right to increase the delay & vice versa.
XMenu Time. This sets the delay before the cross menu appears. Slide the bar to the Right to increase the delay & vice versa.
Key Repeat Start Delay. This sets the delay, in milliseconds, that you can hold a key down before it gets repeated. Slide the bar to the Right to increase this delay & vice versa.
Key Repeat Delay. This sets the delay, after which the keyboard will repeat a keystroke. Slide the bar to the Right to increase this delay & vice versa.
Mouse Speed. Moving this slider to the Right can improve mouse responsiveness although may make more accurate movement awkward due to the extra responsiveness. I’d recommend leaving this set to the default position unless you find your mouse to be very slow to react to input.
Windows Scroll - X. Tick this setting to enable the view to scroll around the wizard when the cursor moves off screen (Left or right). Untick it to disable this from happening.
Windows Scroll - Y. Tick this setting to enable the view to scroll towards/away from the wizard when the cursor moves off screen (Top or bottom). Untick it to disable this from happening.
Mouse Wheel Zoom. Tick this setting to enable your mouse wheel to be used to zooming in/out on the wizard. Untick this setting if you have no mouse wheel or wish to disable this & use the wheel for something else.
Reverse drag X. Tick this setting to reverse the view dragging left/right axis. This means pulling left on the mouse will result in turning right & vice versa.
Reverse drag Y. Tick this setting to reverse the view dragging up/down axis. This means pulling back (towards you) on the mouse will result in looking up & vice versa.
Swap mouse buttons. Fairly self explanatory what this does. Tick/Untick it as you feel appropriate.
Friendly Fire. Tick this setting to enable friendly fire. This means it is possible for you or your creatures to harm those on your side. Untick this setting to disable such friendly fire.
Show gameplay tips. When Ticked playability tips are allowed to appear in the game. Leave this Ticked/Unticked at your own discretion.
If you are using a mouse (Which most of you will be) you can find out how to further tweak that device in our Mouse Tweak guide.
Keyboard Options
In this section you can customize the controls which you will use in the game. Change this as you feel necessary.
