1GB memory module?

  1. Hi, i was just checking out a site that sells memory upgrades... http://www.comptick.com/cq-m266-1gb.html

    I noticed that theyre selling 1 GB laptop memory for hp (it doesnt mention two 512mb sticks).
    Im using a compaq m2000 laptop, is it possible to just buy a single 1GB memory stick to place into one slot or would i have to buy 2 x512mb? how many bytes can each slot hold?

    The max ram for that model laptop is 1GB so the safest most reliable way to go would be to purchase 2x 512MB. read this page from 4allmemory.com
    Good website for memory, I use it all the time.
