Hello, Techspot

Looking at two 13.3" notebooks for purchase. Budget is ~$600.

ASUS UL30VT-A1 Notebook @ $650
- Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 1.3GHz
- 13.3" HD LED
- 4GB RAM
- 500GB HDD
- NVIDIA GeForce G210M 512MB + Intel GMA 4500MHD Switchable Graphics
- 3.3lbs ~3.7lbs (battery-dependent)
- 12hrs battery life

Acer Aspire TimelineX AS3820T-5851 Notebook @ $580
- Intel Core i3-350M
- 13.3" HD WXGA
- 4GB DDR3
- 320GB HDD
- 3.9lbs
- 8hrs battery life

I just wanted to know what your opinions might be on this. Gaming isn't super important for this laptop. I just want mobility, good battery life, decent computing power for basic tasks (web) and reliability.

I like the ASUS for the brand (more reliable overall) but the Acer has a stronger processor, which is what most of my tasks will revolve around.

Those two are pretty much the most important points right now, although battery life, the weight and the keyboard are significant to me as well.

Any advice would be appreciated, especially if anyone has had experience with these notebooks and Acer/ASUS.

thanks!

Since I got no replies... maybe I can rephrase the question another way.

What is the real-world difference between the core i3 350m versus the core 2 duo SU7300?
