Advice on Y-Splitter cable use

I recently purchased a portable speakers system for my computer. I really like the sound quality and overall performance, but it doesn't have any headphone jack. I always use my headphone while playing games and listen music. Speakers and headphone use the same audio jack on the back panel of the sound card. Is it possible to use Y-Splitter cable to interchange between headphone and speakers? If so, then where can I buy it? I appreciate any assistance you experts can provide.
