AIM Trouble

I am running AIM version 5.9 on one computer and 6.5.11.1 on another.

Both of them sign me on and off constantly all day, and then eventually just sign me off with out letting me get back on. I get a message "you are attempting to sign on too soon" I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still getting the same issues! Please let me know what I can do to aviod this. Thanks
