CleanUp time

I was just wondering so I would know if I could do other things or if I needed to sit by the computer and wait.

Can I get an approximation?

clarification

I wanted to know so I would know how long I could be away from the computer...

Also, I am unable to find my quicken data files. Do you have any suggestions?

Malwarebytes "Quick" Scan

I ran Quick Scan last night and this morning, 9 hours later it was still running.

Stop the process, delete all tools we used so far manually and continue with next steps.

other steps complete

What about Junction.zip, do I still need to run that?
Did you want me to try malwarebytes again?

Still can't access certain files, such as Quicken. Is there somewhere on this site I might be able to get help with that?

With quicken it first acts like it's going to open and then a screen comes up that gives choices that either your a new user or have used quicken before and want to open an existing file.

When I choose the existing file choice it gives me three choices:
Open a data file located on this computer
Restore a data file I've backed up to a cd, to a disk or online
Start over and create a new data file

When I choose open data file on computer it opens up the open quicken file screen but the folder is empty.

You may need to reinstall Quicken.

In any case....

In this forum, we make sure, your computer is free of malware and your computer is clean :)
Because the access to malware forum is very limited, your best option is to create new topic about your current issue, at Windows section.
You'll get more attention.

Ok. Thanks much for all of your help. Do I need to be concerned about how malwarebytes quick scan is never ending?

Try this....

1. Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware using Add/Remove programs in the control panel.
2. Restart your computer (very important).
3. Download and run this utility.
4. It will ask to restart your computer (please allow it to).
5. After the computer restarts, install the latest version from here.

I suggest asking at Malwarebytes forum: http://forums.malwarebytes.org/

The computer won't start in Safe Mode. I even tried Safe Mode with Networking... It's a continual loop... it keeps landing on the page where you choose which mode you want to start in, I pick, then it lands on that page again, over and over again.

Download SafeBootKeyRepair by sUBs and save it to your desktop.
Double-click SafeBootKeyRepair.exe to run it.
Follow any prompts that may appear then post the log it produces.
