You would do really well in Sales and Marketing and bring nothing but financial profit and golden days for AMD or any other company with your awesome pricing suggestion.Guest said:
HD7950 should have been a $299 card and released as an HD7870. AMD should have upped the clocks by 30%+ and launched the "real" HD7950 and HD7970 cards with 1150+ mhz. Instead it feels like we got factory underclocked 7900 series, while AMD patiently waits for NV's response and releases HD7960 and HD7980 refreshes, while making benefiting from huge yields by launching HD7970 at only 925mhz.
Let's hope GK104 is faster than the HD7870 and comes in at $299 so we get some real competition and performance increases going.
^Finally someone with a business perspective. It's exactly what I would do. And besides, people are buying the 7970s because its still worth it for the money. Lower power consumption and performance.captainawesome said:
Guys firstly this is a rumor. Secondly - if u were running the show at AMD u would do exactly what they doing now - take advantage of the few months between nvidias kepler launch and their current stock. When the nvidia range hits the shelves, rest assured the amd price will normalise.
