AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT Review: Diminishing Returns

article about the disappointment that is the 6600 XT.
Did you see Tim's most recent video about it, makes a lot of sense. Too little too late, too much money to ask for such a performance level. Best value on the market, or just the least worst choice out of a lot of bad (value) choices? And marketing it as a 1080p card has it's own set of sale-limiters too.

I hadn't but I checked it out. Very reasonable take on the desirability of this card, I reckon.

At MSRP, the 6600-XT makes no sense, but as of the first week of September, the 3060-Ti, is far, far more expensive than the 6600-XT in the real world, making the AMD card a better buy. At Micro Center, you can walk in and buy a 6600-XT for $460, which is obscene, but the 3060-Ti is $600, and you have to arrive early and stand in line just for the chance to buy one. Even the 3060 is way more than the 6600-XT, and, despite all the complaining about the 6600-XT being "gimped", it's still faster than the 3060, and will play most games at 1440p.
