please list exactly all of the things you have tried so far, ie how far did you get moving the FSB, voltage increases ect. the 4800 is not a great OC'er and 2.7 is considered a good OC for it. some have hit 2.9, but with a large Voltage increase.

Your motherboard sucks like mine (s939)... you need good motherboard for overclocking i think. Try to increase voltage if you havent done that yet. Still my CPU is good overclocker it can go from 1.8 to 3.2 GHz.

i tried really everything in the "Cell Menu" lol i swear ... dont know how to explain but it been exactly a week everyday i try new setting from cpu mhz to voltage to memory and HTT cant go over 2411 ... whatever i try when it restart it go back to x12 1.4v 200mhz memory did change from 400 to 540

also thanks for your help

it says i need to post 5 posts :D to post a link .... but just add :// after http

You need to adjust memory timings i think. I always do that when i OC my CPU. Without overclocking RAM i cant overclock CPU...Also you need to increase RAM voltage...

This is some video of guy overclocking 4800+. Maybe this video can help.

some processors are just stubborn, but i would suggest reading up on some motherboard specific overclocking guides so you have something similar to compare to.

...and there's no way to overclock the CPU without overclocking the RAM as well. many people think that you can simply "unlink" the FSB speeds but really all you are doing is changing the ratio. you should always shoot for 1:1 (meaning to match the CPU and RAM speeds) but other ratios may work as well with adjusted timings.

You can try, but your CPU or motherboard can die or something if you overclock it badly many times.

g4mer thanks u r right, but this computer is expired to me i am ordering a new computer soon (i will need help on that not overclocking it lol) so it doesnt matter to me if it dies as long as i learned something new
