Apple iPad Pro vs. Microsoft Surface Pro 4: Which 2-in-1 device to get?

Hilarious. The iPad Pro is NOT a 2-in-1. It cannot replace notebook capabilities. Would you consider an iPad mini with a BT keyboard a 2-in-1 as well? Heck no. The premise for this comparison was inadequate from the start. These devices are not in the same class.
Really depends on the use case. Creating/Editing Word documents, reading email, editing PowerPoint slides, storing files in DropBox, browsing the web... The IPP will do the job just fine.

The $129 type cover for sp4 doesn't have fingerprint reader. So it doesn't really has a price advantage if you are into that thing.

I am waiting for review of i7 iris gpu before I decide. I think this is finally the time surface pro might be able to replace light laptop usage.
Sp4 has Hello facial recognition camera built-in, finger print reader would be redundant. it also has a keyboard with fingerprint reader for the SP3 without "Hello" capability.

Funny these reviewers never mentioned that ipad doesn't have micro sd to expand storage, no usb ports, it has a vastly inferior pen, an awkward and inelegant looking keyboard.
Ipad is a very good one trick pony. if you want more than that, the surface 4 is vastly superior in just about every area.

This does not make it a 2-in-1. The ideology behind the term "2-in-1" is a device, which has the capability to function as both a tablet and a laptop. Adding a keyboard to a tablet does not give it the functionality of a laptop.

My only concern with the SP4 is that the new Surface Book looks even better... and almost the same price...

Anyone found a comparison between the 2 and seen if the "tablet part" on the book is any different than a regular Surface Pro 4?

Cause if not.... just get the Surface Book - it blows both out of the water...
