Seems like they hit a good performance target for recent hardware, but I'll probably wait to pick the game up on deep discount due to backlog. Normally, I'd predict owning the next gen GPU by then but these days -sheesh- we'll have to wait and see when those even launch.

Wow, who would have thunk that a game would perform better on hardware that is in more systems today (Playstation, xbox, and ~10% of pc) than the competitor. Not hard to see that Sony and Microsoft are most likely helping AMD progress their drivers and upscaling. Some Nvidia fanboys (Rapob) will most likely have some bs excuse as to why this is instead of accepting Nvidia has left gamers in the dust and their drivers are trash.

Well, must admit there are amd flavored games or engines still exist, like idTech or REngine where Navi 48 rushes ahead or RDNA3 topdogs flex their raw muscles.

But yes, that's been couple of cases already where blackwell did not perform better than ada as it should've, even with these "neural shaders", extra 10% MHz or faster VRAM. Besides, looking at the whole blackwell dies structure, everyone can notice it's Ada remastered, makes me think they've vibe designed these chips aswell.

9070XT is doing pretty well these days. Glad I swapped my 6800XT for one. Won't need to worry about updating until we get UDNA cards.

"Thankfully" AMD always have crappy drivers and took more than a year to release FSR 4 for RDNA 3, did not release any support for APUs (and yes, they always worked GREAT with the leaked FSR 4) and made the Z lineup dependent of the OEM. Nice work AMD, I'll try not to buy from you again. Two expensive APUs for nothing.

Not going to pay full price on Day 1.

AC4 BF is one of my favourite games, but won't yield to nostalgia.

Who knows, Epic might even give it away for free one day, looking at the pathetic state of Ubisoft nowadays.

I'm too busy with backlogged free games to waste more money on remakes and rehashes.

Will wait for all suckers to buy on Day 1.

Interesting. My 3080 drivers are a pain in my racing sim, but in my main desktop the 9070XT is mint.

Not to mention the potential lighting on fire. Nothing says Nvidia like premium drivers like that!

Objectively, Assassin Creed tends to be faster on AMD RDNA hardware. You can look back at most AC titles and find the same trend. Having said that, each GPU architecture is optimized for certain game engine in raster performance. So it is normal to see some wins and some losses.

They might give away original AC4 but not the remake. And as I recall, they gave away very few Ubi games. My memory fails me, but I feel like there was only one AC game and it wasnt one of the most popular ones. They did give away Steep, though, a very chill snowboarding game
