Audio jack

I have problem with audio 3,5mm jack (same for mic and music)..
I'm try standard 3,5 mm new phone headset (I'm try with standard phone headset too, but same) - mic don't work. What to do? I'm try some youtube tutorials but don't work. What to do? Only laptop's mic work.

HP Probook, Windows 10, drivers updated.

Did you try it with another headphone which also have microphone?. Sometimes there are so much dust in the microphone that our devices do not get the frequencies accurately. Try a different microphone and if it does the same thing then reinstall your audio driver. It can be a software issue.
