Average gaming rig?

Sup guys i've recently invested in a desktop PC for my son for him to do some light gaming on.

The specs are:

Pentium D 925@3.0GHz
2GB DDR2 @ 667MHz
Nvidia GT220 1GB DDR3
160GB 7200RPM

He'll be playing things like World Of Warcraft, Garrys Mod etc, nothing too straining... Will this computer run those games fine?

Well first I want to ask, how much did you pay for it? Passed that I'll say he should be able to play on low to medium settings with okay frame rates.

all in all about £200 which isn't that much

I think it may be a bit much for that computer though. It won't be an enjoyable experience gaming on that rig - especially for WoW unless he's just learning the game.

As far as price I was thinking the same thing. I doubt the son will be playing on a 26" high resolution monitor.

It will be a HP W19 which has a max res. of 1440x900
