BAT or VBS?

Hi Everyone. im hopeing this is an easy one for some one to answer.

I want to use FindStr call on a winxp machine

FINDSTR /I /C:"string" *.txt

But i need to have the user be prompted for the string to be searched.

A friend says that i have to do this in VBS. is this true?

Can some one help please.
