Best laptop for speech recognition

I’m a court reporter and I’m looking to buy a new laptop. I run Dragon Naturally Speaking Premium. For specs I’ll want the following: i7 H core, SSD and at least 16 GB of RAM. The computer will not be used for gaming. I’ll have a budget between $1500 to $2000 Canadian. I don’t want buyer’s remorse, so I’d appreciate any suggestions.

I would suggest that you should buy a Dell Inspiron 15 series laptop with the latest features which will fulfill your requirements.

Like OCR, I think the accuracy is far more dependent upon the software than the hardware (given equivalent environments).

SHOCKED that the court system would allow your personal computer and not insist upon a system owned and controlled by the court.
