Big Problem with Net connec....NEED URGENT HELP!

Hi, I've developed a big problem. I've got exams coming up and I reallllly need an internet connection at home. I recently updated my zonealarm and then my pc now doesn't connect to the internet.

- Before upgrade it was fine, afterwards I get "limited or no connectivity". I have a netgear router and my LAN ip is normally 192.168.0.x
- Now, the LAN IP is something drastically different (e.g. 169.254.xx.xx) PLUS my Subnet Mask is 255.255.0.0 as opposed to 255.255.255.0
- Cannot connect to the internet (can't acquire the WAN IP when I use IP2 either)

- I've not uninstalled zonealarm and it still can't acquire a proper IP address (when i click repair, it can't renew ip)
- I've tried resetting the router and doesn't work

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASEEEE HELP!!

since you know yer way round the nic
if ya can just reset the nic yourself
gor to the router get your wan dns ip address's should be 2 there
make sure the router is at default 192.168.1.1 as gateway
go to your nic and make the ip for it 192.168.1.100
mask 255.255.255.0
default gateway 192.168.1.1
down below enter your dns ip address's and say ok
as I have said before AV is more of pain in bottom then getting a virus
if you keep up good firewall like your router and good software firewall like outpost or sygate and of course don't do stupid things like open emails that say your a winner
or heres your info you requested and no porn sights you should just about never get caught with pants down
I hope the above helps those AV's have a way of leeching the life out of the machine
