Blue lines and computer freezing! Auuuugh!

so...i've been having this problem with a pattern of blue lines appearing on my monitor since friday...shown here

which...after reading around is either my video card...or my entire computer crapping out =/

so...these appear whether or not my video card is on or off...they're currently not there, and my video card IS off, but...i'm sure that if i restart once again, they will be there.

if it's any help, i'm using a vaio vgn-fz348e

and when my computer starts to load, about 95% of the time, i see this

i'm really at the end of my rope...please tell me what's wrong x( there used to be a sony service store around here...but they closed up like 8 months ago. GR!

but your help would be appreciated!

looks like the screen itself may be on it's way out... or already there.

if possible, I would try reinstalling the video drivers

hm. the screen looks just fine right now...

this problem causes my computer to freeze...sometimes the screen does freeze and i can still get audio...this has happened tree times today. once during a video call with my parents, once while loading a game (warcraft 3) and finally, while just trying to watch a video on youtube.

hm. i've installed new video drivers already =/
basically broken screen = replace your computer, huh?
