Broadband engineer sick with Covid-19 after being spat at by 5G/coronavirus conspiracy...

Yes. Humans can adapt to conditions and have the fear of death. Have you used computers before now? I do every day. They crash and have errors multiple times every single day. Thankfully, I don't have to worry about them killing me or anyone else. Shall we meet on a mountain road curve? We will put you in the passenger seat of one of these cars and simulate an error or hardware failure. We can also hook this computer into 5G and I'll do it from my home. We will also put your family in the car with you. Not willing?
I have nothing but pity for you...

Make no mistake about it:

The hatred towards 5G is being drummed up by anti-China rhetoric.

China is better positioned to profit from 5G worldwide than America is and the US government doesn’t like it.

5G however, is not ionizing radiation and has never been proven to cause cancer in humans.

The public piped water in Flint, Michigan however...

The whole article is about attacks in the UK. Not sure what the US government has to do with this. Anti-5G sentiment in the US is minuscule.

I have nothing but pity for you...

Thank you. Your pity is understandable by people who are negligent about computers. I care about you, and others that will be killed by computer-controlled cars. Not just a selfish desire to play on my phone instead of responsibly driving nor my life in the hands of a computer. :)

Self driving cars will have far fewer accidents than human driven cars. Human error is far more common than computer error. This is obvious. But then I guess there are people in this world who think 5G causes coronavirus so whatever.

So you are one those people comparing BILLIONS of cars around the world to a few thousand in total accidents? Self-wrecking cars are also isolated to perfect environments. Add in limited to far under the speed limit in several cases. Is this where I say I have pity on you? Typical response from people who don't care about anyone else's safety. Always looking for someone else to blame when something happens rather than personal accountability. It doesn't sound you are tech savvy at all, but there is something called an Event Viewer in Windows. You might take a look at how many (tens of) thousands of errors - and this is just the operating system. Not counting apps you are using.

I'd be absolutely happy to share my information with you but I can't do it here because it might be a TOS violation to post certain things.

I have plenty I'd love to share with you.

There is nothing to share because there are NONE. There have been zero LONG-TERM studies, instead, they relied on 4G "safety" to push the next generation wireless tech. Before you bring such a tech to market, multi-year long studies are necessary. 5G has literally been an overnight thing -from development, to marketing, to implementation. Seriously, if you're not even willing to admit this fact, then it's no use even trying to argue to opposite with you because there's zero chance of you changing your mind even if facts showed the contrary to your beliefs.

Well there are long term studies but they go in the opposite direction in that even much less dangerous RFR can potentially cause issues: https://blogs.scientificamerican.com/observations/we-have-no-reason-to-believe-5g-is-safe/

The FCC has not updated exposure limits since the 1990, which is a huge cause for concern. Clearly there is a need to make modern controls on RFR as even back then they realized the potential damage due to over exposure. By not even conducting due diligence and studying the potential dangers, we are jumping in completely blind.

Your opinions are flat out wrong. It’s kind of amusing really. In the same way that I find flat earthers amusing. The US department of transportation rules that 94% of accidents in the USA were caused by human error. Self driving cars eliminates this almost completely. Unfortunately for you enough of the rest of the world is capable of grasping basic concepts and understanding human nature and facts. Self driving cars are coming and there is nothing you can do to stop them. When they come in they will deliver lower accident rates, less emissions and shorter journey times. People like you will either have died of old age or will be forced to eat your words.

You’re welcome.

LOL, wow. I can't shake my head hard enough.

"The US department of transportation rules that 94% of accidents in the USA were caused by human error. Self driving cars eliminates this almost completely"

Basic math fail to argue your point. If you assume you are eliminating humans from driving, NO DUH that accidents from human error will go down. LOL... It is so hilarious you are making claims of facts on something that doesn't exist and there is no proof of. There really is no point to keep talking to your hard head. You clearly don't understand computers nor know vehicle failures. Your liberal mentality is also worrisome where you think everyone needs to bow down to your demands.

"If you have 2 apples and take away 2 apples, you have zero apples! See how my math is right, which means my whole argument is right!" hehe

Oh I don’t agree. The vast majority of people that use these masts don’t vandalise them. Why should we punish people for the actions of a small few? I certainly think that we should be imprisoning the perpetrators. It would be nice if our law enforcement could provide a deterrent by slamming some of these *****s into a cell with a corona virus positive cell mate for a good length of time....[ ]...

Where are YOUR independent, long-term studies/sources that claim 5G is safe. First, prove it's safe, rather than putting on those to prove it's unsafe -that takes much more work (long-term studies, independent research bodies, etc). 5G has been banned in Belgium and Austria.
5G wasn't banned, it was postponed in some places until they made their own independent tests.

If you can't use statistics then don't try to form arguments around them because people will just point out that you are wrong and you'll just get angry. Kinda like you are doing now.

I still don't know what your point is beyond the fact that you hate a new technology without trying to understand it. If you are that afraid of "bugs" then you should probably never fly or use banks. Astronauts should also never go into space and nuclear power plants are all just ticking bombs.

Autonomous cars are here to stay and they'll replace most of the regular driving done by humans. You'll have to one day deal with this simple fact.

FYI Self driving cars are now on the streets, not in "perfect environments". That testing phase ended years ago.

5g and cancer should never appear in the same sentence together. The infrared light on your remote is closer to ionizing radiation than microwaves and the wavelengths below them. Actually, the Sun is emitting ionizing radiation, do you wear sunscreen every time you're out of the house? Doubtful.

Conspiracies to decimate populations? You guys have watched too many FUD shows. And there are plenty of those around...

...People should be more concerned these cars are being forced on us at our safety risk than this stupid 5G.

You keep repeating this silly statement.

Who is being forced to buy a driver-less car?? You? Anyone you know?? And HOW are they being forced and by whom?? The government? The car companies?? The alien overlords?? Who is "forcing" those poor, oppressed people???

Sheesh, this is a tech forum where one expects people with a certain degree of intelligence to be discussing stuff, then we see such Trumpist statements!!

Something needs to be done, the 5G network will soon be supporting medical equipment, self driving cars and a whole wealth of critical infrastructure. Right now it’s annoying an inconvenient but in the future taking down 5G masts could kill people.

Annoy enough people and you will get something like the 'Arab Spring'.

A non-lethal alternative would be an automated turret with a pepper spray and a self-propelled trampoline.

The brilliant immunologist and neurosurgeon Woody Harrelson believes that 5G causes COVID-19. 'Nough said.

Woody Harrelson is an actor, not an immunologist and neurosurgeon.

The most relevant thing I could find was this: https://www.tmc.edu/news/2019/03/br...bel-laureate-jim-allison-ph-d-debuts-at-sxsw/

Assuming these vandals are under the age of 50 and if you are under the age of 50 you only have a 2% chance of death from COVID. I’d rather they just dropped the soap than we give them a bit of a runny nose mate!

Remember COVID19 is only a boomer doomer, the rest of us need to be more concerned with the fiendish amount of alcohol we have all turned to since the lockdown begun

Oh, I don't know, I expect you could have your soap and sneeze on it too...

What do you think this lockdown is doing. It is punishing everyone because of the select few that spread it.
If his covid positive aide succeeded in giving Trump the virus, I think he should be given a promotion, a medal, and a parade, but definitely not viewed as a villain

As a notation, non-ionizing radiation is NOT necessarily safe. Power, distance, and shielding are still highly necessary and as has already been proven, having enough concentration of sources to make 5G perform as advertised would cause more significant exposure which, over a longer period of time can have health effects.

LOL - These 'Trust the 5G rollout' people remind me of the security guard who slept by a radio station broadcast antenna to stay warm. He died. He received the Darwin Award.

"25 December 1998, Canada - Telephone relay company night watchman Edward Baker, 31, was killed early Christmas morning by excessive microwave radiation exposure. He was apparently attempting to keep warm next to a telecommunications feedhorn.... For his Christmas shift, Baker reportedly brought a twelve pack of beer and a plastic lawn chair, which he positioned directly in line with the strongest microwave beam. Baker had not been told about a tenfold boost in microwave power planned that night to handle the anticipated increase in holiday long-distance calling traffic. Baker's body was discovered by the daytime watchman, John Burns, who was greeted by an odor he mistook for a Christmas roast he thought Baker must have prepared as a surprise. Burns also reported to NMSR company officials that Baker's unfinished beers had exploded."

I know several Russians. They can tell you stories about why you should not trust the government or industry. The US founding fathers wrote reams on the issue.

Microwave radiation and 5G are completely different things. One is obviously harmful whilst the other obviously isn’t. Well, unless you don’t know what you’re talking about.

What you’ve just done is say “people who say we can trust cats as pets should remember that ***** who went to go sleep in the middle of the tiger cage in the zoo because it was warm”
