BSOD "Bad_pool_caller"

By PieReaper
Jun 12, 2009
  1. My computer gets a BSOD saying "BAD_POOL_CALLER" on startup every time I boot up, but is fine in safe mode so I guess it is a driver problem, but I don't know how to work out which driver it is. So if someone could help I would be really grateful.

I have attached the last few minidumps so hopefully someone can do something with them. (I'm in safe mode with networking on the computer atm, so it is definitely a driver problem).

    Thanks in advance.

    Faulting driver is klif.sys
used by Kaspersky Anti-Virus or ZoneAlarm Security Suite

    Your bugcheck is...
    I would suspect either ...
    1) an incompatibility between your current AV or Firewall and your Vista OS.
    2) a malware infection has compromised your AV or Firewall.

Try Updating your AV and Firewall... If you have problems doing so, then Malware is very likely.
In either case, I would suggest checking for malware using the 8 steps...
