Can I run a GTX 260 at less than the minimum 12v specs?

I just got a GTX 260 and noticed the min requirements for the 12v rail is 36A.
However i have a power supply that has one 12v rail @ 24A

My question is, how will this effect my computer? is there leeway regarding the 12v requirement or do i need a better power supply? If i do, what do you all recommend?

Thanks

You can, but it is not guaranteed to be stable and you are prone to getting frequent BSODs and restarts. Eventually the PSU will get overloaded to the point where it will blow its fuse, effectively needing you to get a new supply. In some lower-quality supplies the fuse may not blow fast enough, sending a current surge through your expensive hardware, likely damaging or killing it.

The power recommendations are there for a reason. Don't put your entire system in jeopardy by cheaping out on the PSU.

As for a recommendation, Corsair's 550VX and 650TX can be had for around the same price after rebate and are excellent choices to go for. Ditto with the Antec Neo 650W.
