Can not update AVG - connection server failer

I try to update my AVG and it says:
The error message says that the connection to the server has failed..

any suggestions

Uninstall your AVG Antivirus
Then run the removal tool
Here is the 32Bit version (most users): http://www.avg.com/filedir/util/avg_arm_sup_____.dir/avgremover.exe
Here is the 64Bit version: http://www.avg.com/filedir/util/avg_arv_sup_____.dir/avgremoverx64.exe

Restart

Install Avira free AntiVirus

Also I get from AVG Residential Shield

Virus identified Win32/Cryptor


Try to heal or move to vault it says access denied is this a hox? oh am going to do what you suggested to and thnks

also everytime I load internet explore I get same .dll message

The viruses seem to be gone - had lot of tojans.

Should I keep Avira free AntiVirus or reinstall AVG? which would you recomend and I will install Zone Alarm too.

As I have stated "remove AVG" I'd say Avira is better (proven every time)
As for a firewall. Firewalls don't stop malware so this is a whole new area, there were 2 stated in the 8-step guide (which would have been best to go through fully) I personally feel Zone Alarm is not very good though
