Can't connect to Internet after reformat

Hi i am using acer aspire 4920 laptop
recently i format my system after that i cant able to connect to the wireless n/w
i tried with window xp, vista and 7 it is taking longer than usual and disconnect
but it can detect all networks
i changed the os to linux ubuntu wireless workinng with out any problem

can any body help

Is your wireless card switched on there should be a key on the keyboard also look in the device manager to see if everything is working and check that you have the latest drivers installed.

When you have done all that check your Internet settings. Then let me know how it goes.
