Hi,
I run an asus p5q se plus motherboard with 8GB ddr2 800mhz ram and an intel core 2 duo E7500. The problem is when I overclock my cpu I can no longer run my ram at 800mhz(effective) speed and it runs at around 600mhz(effective) speed. I have tried just setting it at 800mhz but I always crash while booting. Any help would be appreciated.

we need to know what BIOS settings you are using

Oops double post. OK I have 2 types of ram in there. They are both ddr2 800mhz and both ocz but different editions. And cpuid only reports one difference. Explaining it would be a nightmare so I toom some screenshots.

As you can see under CAS latency one has each value 1 higher. Could this be causing issues and should I remove the ram?

this is what im looking for, something like this.i know yours wont look like this but this is for my motherboard which is a P45 chipset like yours. also dont use Auto for voltages. DON'T USE THE SETTINGS I HAVE.

Actually I got the ram running at 375mhz instead of 400 so im cool with that. 'll be buying a sandy bride cpu next year and this will tide me over till then.
