CD can't Auto-Run.

Hi All Tech Experts,

I've a budget AMD Sempron3000+ PC.

After installing Win XP OS, Office & common programs, whenever I put CD into the optical drive, "My Computer" just show "CD Drive". It didn't show the CD's label & icons. Its annoying as the CD can't auto-run, and I've to manually double-click to auto-run.

Can somebody give me advise? Thanks!

Try right clicking on my computer icon on desktop (if you have a shortcut there), scroll down to properties, click hardware, click device manager, scroll down to DVD/CDROM Drives and right click on the device. Then uninstall it. Then reboot the computer and see if it recognizes the device then.
