Sup, TS, gotto thank you guys last time for the hardware/software setups for my pc which i built my own.

right now i'm having another problems in which i dont know how to fix it myself.
It's completely out of my league.

Just a few months ago i had noticed some certain website that i cant visit, certain website which require certain java, or something, just to make sure wassit just me or the website, i decided to ask friends of mine who are a frequant user of that particular, sites. all of them says the website is fine, which means there's something wrong with my browser.

i decided to either restart my browser, or even restart my pc but it wont fix the problem.

and so i uninstalled my current java thinking that it might be the source of tha error,
However reinstallation seems to fail as it is shown at the attachment below.

while before i do something concerning the java, i had also noticed that i'm having problem with other particular website which i frequently visit. and From there i found out that there's problems concerning my registries, it's affecting my connectivity to the web and a lot of other issues such as the stability of the connectivity itself, and i'm having problem even to access into the TS forums.

Eventho i search for solution in google and TS forums, i fail to apply or actually understand my current problems.

i will however use the "reformat" method as my last resort, since i had bought a large portable harddrive in which i think can save most of my files before i format my PC.

My self-built PC is 8 months old
here's are the summary of my system
CPU Intel Pentium Quad-core Q6600 @2.4GHz
MoBo Asus P5NE-SLi
RAM 4x1GB Corsairs
VGA Winfast 8800GTx
Storage 2xWestern Digital 320gb ea

current OS is Window XP Pro Ver 2002 Service Pack 2

and i have not tap into the Reg region, and so it's out of my league, since i am lack of any experience for the "registra" area of the software, the aspect which will slow down most laptops and computers if it was not keep in check.

Thanks if Advance, i really need some help. :(

thank you very much jobeard
my java seems fix, and thanks for the links

my google seems fine but i'm still having certain problems accessing certain website such as deviantart.com

confirmation was made when i tried pinging the website just like how i did with google.

Anything that i need to check such as firewall settings and routers settings ecetra ecetra?

hum; what happens on deviantart.com? do you get anything back?

my access is ok, but that doesn't help you :)

The site and a few others, are not getting back at me.
just about an hour ago, some of my friends are complaining about those particular sites that they are not receiving certain data, or aspect of the site. several symthoms, eventho the site loaded for them, which prolly was from the file from the temporary cookies.

which got me thinking if it's the site's problem or wassit still my pc problems?

Java works, with a few glitches which is fixed by updating IE from 6 to version 7

anyway suggestion?

without better specific pages, I can't go any further -- deviantart.com/ works for me.

which links are failing for you? be specific please

other links such as er... certain rule 1&2 if you get what i mean, but the other sites is fine. 4chan.org for example...

sometimes these sites loads to a certain degree and they just stopped.. like in the middle of everything.

like for example the TS forum for example, i will have to refresh it several time before the page loaded in a proper fashion.

That's the url form that should be used in the browser.
The HTTP:// (HTTPS:// are protocol names and thus are not used with ping.

Speaking of;
Ping www.deviantart.com [198.172.81.21] with 32 bytes of data:

proper domain name for ping and no reply??? You have a network problem or the
server you're accessing is unreliable.

When I ping it, I get timings
Reply from 198.172.81.21: bytes=32 time=25ms TTL=54
Reply from 198.172.81.21: bytes=32 time=39ms TTL=54
On my browser, I get pages.

Have you traced the path to the server (run -> cmd /k tracert www.deviantart.com)

:D
looks like you have a massive problem with your ISP.
your router (1) can talk to the ISP gateway (2) but it goes NO WHERE ELSE!

If it were working correctly, the last line of tracert would have been Trace completed.

major problem with my isp... maybe i'll call them up first thing in the morning

and yes the last line of tracert is "Trace complete."

anything i should do? O:

Your path to www.deviantart.com will be different than mine, but this what a "normal" tracert looks like:

If you do not get timing data AND the last line is not like line 15 above, then
your ISP has issues.
Clearly www.deviantart.com will respond to ping with outbound timing reply
(an internal nit on the ping protocol).

alright i'll see what i can do
ask them to reset the connection or this and that or something in between.

thanks for your time.
will update..

[updates]

just as soon as the Head Admin of a site which i visited everyday got online just now, everything wents back to normal, including deviantart.com

the site was down for a week since the Head Admin was moving along with his server to a new place.

Anyone know what's the sign is this?
The Site's backs online right now, grabbing a few others with it, but when the site dies, it will also bring a few with it down. O:
