Clicking at RAM

The last couple days, I get a rapid clicking on my Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3L mobo. it starts during the Gbyte splash screen....pressing any key stops the clicking, but it may or may not POST and load win7 64 bit. when it DOES load, it will randomly open load programs. rapidly pressing "enter" numerous times seems to clear it up. am afraid to shut it down...
add'l info: 8GB (4x2) OCZ pcd8500 - OCZ 600W psu - GeForce 9600GT - xFi extreme sound.
also- sometimes tapping the memory sticks will stop the clicks. tried one stick at a time, different slots...no difference...mobo going?

Sounds like the motherboard is going bad. Or there is a short some where. You may want to check all connections on your mother board. I t could possibly be the Power supply. You could try swapping it out. To see if this stops the problem.
