Compatible???

i have a BIOSTAR NF520-A2 Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 520 MCP ATX AMD Motherboard and in specs where it says FSB and 1000MHz Hyper Transport (2000 MT/s) i bought a MD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ Windsor and under its specs its HT is 2000 mhz, will these work with each other?

yep they are compatible. The important thing there is that that processor is am2, and that motherboard takes am2 processors.

i checked and checked again to make sure they were both am2. the only thing left to do is get some RAM, hard disk and floppy drive.

when building a new computer, it is always best to have a floppy.

You might as well have a floppy. You never know when it could come in handy.

On a new board, a flash drive works just as well, if you know how to use it. Nowadays the space occupied by a floppy drive is better utilized by a memory card reader, or upgraded Audio stuff.
It is handy in most computers, but the boards do not even use a BIOS or Chipset that is installed by a floppy drive. It is as close to useless as you can get, when a 512 mb flash drive can be had for under $10 and a floppy drive costs double that.
