Computer keeps crashing

hello there i am running windows xp pro and my computer keeps crashing. i dont get blue screens or erro messages. i have to turn it off buy the plug to shut it down i have got all new hardware apart from my mother board which is only 9months old. does anyone know what is causing it please as it is doing my head in now thanks

1. What new hardware?
2. Is it all compatible with this OS?
3. Why new hardware?
4.. Did problem start AFTER putting on new hardware? Which hardware?
5. How much installed RAM do you have?
6. Did you run scans with the security programs?
7. Is the processor by AMD? Did you put the SP3 update on? Did crashes start after?
