Computer monitor erroring

Alright everyone I really need help so I decided to take my computer to my friends house. I drive over and plug in all the necessary pieces to it. Then I get an error here is step by step what happens.

I turn on the computer
I get a beeping noise
I look at the monitor and it is on but nothing is showing
The computer stays on and does nothing

If anyone knows how to fix this I would love you forever<3

i think i might know whats your problem i had the same problem when i was installing a new video card...
i would reccomend to get the power cable out of the computer before you start its pretty easy to do
open your pc and check every cable push them to make sure they are connected correctly to where they belong just try every cable!
(its a cable problem)
