couldn't able to see the content in pop-up windows

  1. Hi i am sivakumar,
    I am getting a problem in IE-6.0 where i cannot able to see the content in the pop-up window.
    I am getting an error that "This page cannot be displayed".
    their i am opening a html page only.

    In general i couldnot able to see the view source in browser-->view-->source
    but i can able to see the view source on right clicking.
    I am using windows 2000 server as my operating system.
    But my notepad.exe is working fine.Even i have seen that.
    Could you please give me the reply.

    Here are a few trys that may help

    1. If you are trying to view a popup I would make sure popup blocker is turned off Tools-->Popupblocker-->Turnoff

    2. If thats not it try Ctl + refresh to see if it will come up

    3. Many websites use java, Microsoft has been forced to remove it from their web browser you may need the http:\\ and download the plug-in

    Not getting the view source and error coming on pop-up opens

    hi friends,
    i am not getting that it any way...
    i am using IE 6.0 and i have done all the things you mentioned like clearing the cache and all....
    Some times i am getting the content on clickign view source and some times i am not getting any thing on clicking view source....
    There is no icon or short-cut for notepad on my desktop also....
    more suggesions are invited...

    I'm having the same problem.....

    Whenever I click on a link I get the same problem but if I enter the URL into the address bar manually it works perfectly, it has only been this way since I had another problem about a week ago (windows explorer was using 100% of my CPU)
    So I followed the instructions in this thread:

    Is there a possibility that this is the cause?
    If so how can I fix it?
